Oxaku Tehu Kax’Oxo is a Social Developer, Conservationist Philanthropist and designer of “Integrative Bionomics” (Bionomix2 /Bionomics squared systems)”. He is the Chairman of the IKI.XI Yaku Tan-I tribal council, co-founder of the Tropical Rainforest Institute of Belize Eco-System (TRIBZ.ECO) and Executive Director of KIYOCAYO COMPASS Center for Nature Exploration & Conservancy.
Dr. Kax’Oxo is also a skilled bio-infrastructure designer, engineer and adept bushman/naturalist. He holds honors degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Education Curriculum and Instruction and advanced certifications in environmental design, water resource management, geo-environmental engineering and NAHETS Environmental Heavy Equipment Operation/Instruction. After retiring from the U.S. Military, he has spent the last decade living in several tropical rainforests, working as an educator, consultant and advocate for the advancement of indigenous traditional communities worldwide.
He currently sits on the University of Belize Board of Trustees as the representative for non-governmental and civil society organizations and serves the Centro-America/CARICOM region as an independent front line operative for the realization of Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the protection and conservation of regional environmental biodiversity and indigenous biocultural traditions.
